TALKING GONG
The Talking Gong trio is comprised of Susie Ibarra, Claire Chase, and Alex Peh. “Talking Gong” is not only the name of the ensemble but also the name of a piece commissioned during Ibarra’s Kenneth Davenport Residency for New American Music at SUNY New Paltz in 2018. Most recently, Ibarra won a 2025 Pulitzer Prize in Music for her composition “Sky Islands,” featured in the highlight reel below.
