Concertos

Claire is committed to expanding the concerto repertoire of the flute through commissions, unusual collaborations, and partnerships with orchestras. In recent years, Claire has given the premieres of new concertos written for her by Olga Neuwirth, Dai Fujikura, and Felipe Lara, and she has performed recently with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, London Philharmonia, BBC Scottish Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, Swedish Chamber Orchestra, Kyoto Symphony, and Munich Chamber Orchestra. She enjoyed multiple performances with the Helsinki Philharmonic in Finland, and joined the orchestra on tour at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall in critically acclaimed performances of Kaija Saariaho's Flute Concerto in 2023. Earlier this season, she gave the world premiere of a new Duo Concerto by Dai Fujikura with the violinist Akiko Suwanai at the Royal Concertgebouw, and on tour in Europe with the violinist Leila Josefowicz.
