Join Claire Chase, JACK Quartet, and Density Arts in celebrating the 11th installment of Claire Chase's monumental 24-year Density 2036 commissioning project! Sono Luminus releases "The Holy Liftoff" by Terry Riley, realized by Samuel Clay Birmaher, and performed by Claire Chase and the JACK Quartet. The album releases July 17, 2026 and can be preordered through Sono Luminus or Bandcamp.

At this event, "The Holy Liftoff" will be played by Claire Chase and JACK from beginning to the end (approximately 60 minutes).

Tickets will go on sale JULY 15, 2026.

The Holy Liftoff (2024) was co-commissioned by Stanford Live, Tippet Rise, The Kitchen, and Density Arts, with the support of CAP UCLA. The work premiered at The Kitchen in New York City in 2024 and on the West Coast a few days later at Stanford Live’s Bing Concert Hall, before Chase and the JACK Quartet played it again at the 2025 Ojai Music Festival, where Chase was Music Director.
