Juilliard

As a Creative Associate at The Juilliard School, Claire works with Juilliard on special projects and performs regularly with Juilliard students, faculty, and alumni. Recent projects have included the US premiere of Alvin Lucier’s “Monteverdi Shapero,” a 45-minute work for sixteen winds that Claire coached and performed at Alice Tully Hall with Juilliard students from Classical, Jazz, and Historical Performance programs, with the composer in attendance. Claire worked with the Juilliard flute studio on an ensemble rendition of Vijay Iyer’s “Five Empty Chambers,” and she partnered with the school on DensityLab—a creative laboratory for Juilliard composers and flutists to develop new works together collaboratively.
