As Professor of the Practice in the Department of Music at Harvard University, Claire has taught courses on contemporary music, interdisciplinary collaboration, nonprofit arts organizations, and a freshman seminar on music and social justice. She founded the Harvard New Music Ensemble in the fall of 2021, an undergraduate ensemble of performers, improvisers, curators, and composers working in intersectional collaborations. The Harvard New Music Ensemble commissioned and gave the world premieres of three new works by Susie Ibarra, Tariq Al-Sabir, and Mari Kimura in the 2021-22 season, and performed at Joe’s Pub in New York City in a concert co-presented by YoungArts.
