ICE closes its first OpenICE season in partnership with the Illinois Humanities Council with this blockbuster program featuring ICE co-Artistic Directors Claire Chase and Joshua Rubin.
Commissioned as part of Claire Chase's Density 2036 initiative, George Lewis' Emergent features live electronics to highlight the urgent virtuosity of Claire's performance. Boulez's mezmerizing Dialogue de l'ombre double is a masterpiece of spacialized sound and creates a true dialogue between the live clarinetist and his electronic counterpart.
This special free concert event is presented by ICE and Illinois Humanities Council at the Mana Contemporary space in Pilsen, Chicago.
